Transfer APK files for free
APK2Mobile is able to transfer valid APK files up to 100MB in size. It works in any Windows version from XP to 10.
Uploading an APK file to Android using APK2Mobile it’s a simple three-step process. First, select an APK file on your PC. Click the Upload button and the file will be transferred to a private and anonymous cloud, where it will stay for 24 hours.
Once the file is uploaded, APK2Mobile will generate a QR Code and a short link. You can use either option to download the file on your Android device. To scan the QR code you will need a separate app (there are many free QR scanners to choose from).
The APK2Mobile link will open in your device’s browser, where you can verify the filename and file size of the APK file you just uploaded. Press the button to commence the download on your Android device and install the app or game.
If you choose to scan the QR code, just open your favourite QR code reader in the device and point the camera to APK2Mobile. The download URL and other information will reveal itself, ready to be opened in the default Android browser.
The short link option, on the other hand, can be quite handy if you choose to send the APK to a friend via e-mail or instant messaging. The Google shortener used by APK2Mobile ensures maximum security and reliability.
Remember to enable "Unknown sources" in Android
Before installing from an APK, remember to enable “Unknown sources” in the Android settings. Otherwise, the installation process will fail. You can do so by going to Settings > Security and checking the Unknown sources box under Device administration.
